The Creative Championship kicked off in November 2020 with eight pioneering clubs and a simple conviction: Lagos grassroots football deserved a professional stage. That first season crowned Remo Stars U19 as inaugural champions — and proved the idea had legs.
The TCC Cup arrived the following season, adding knockout drama to the league grind. New clubs kept coming: the 2022/23 intake brought future champions Beyond Limits FA alongside Atlantic Business, Broad City, Dannaz, Real Sapphire and Sporting Lagos, and by 2023/24 the league had settled into its 12-club shape, playing September to April.
Along the way the TCC became the first Nigerian league on Hudl Wyscout, putting every match in front of professional scouts worldwide — and through the TCC Elite Cup partnership with Abuja's Elite League, its champions now measure themselves against the best of another region and prepare for international stages like the Gothia Cup.
